ODPE is a Penis Envy-family cube with the classic PE look: thick even stems, compact caps that often stay closed, inset gills, low spore drop. Two Tryptomics lots from this orbit both land AVERAGE — 0.69–0.80% PsilocinEQ — which is not the extreme PE story vendors sometimes tell.
What does move is native psilocin. The Full Canopy lot carried 1.294 mg/g. The Seth lot that tested higher overall carried only 0.433 mg/g. Trip reports describe very fast-onset visuals and excellent body euphoria.
This site exists to see whether that feel tracks the psilocin swing, the dense PE fruit, or something the HPLC is not capturing.
Laboratory Data
Two Tryptomics HPLC lots — featured Seth fruit biomass, plus a Full Canopy comparison
The totals are close. Native psilocin is not.
Same name, two HPLCs, a threefold swing in ready-to-act psilocin. This is ODPE’s signature section — lot-to-lot chemotype, not intra-fruit variation.
Higher total (11.296 mg/g). Native psilocin only 0.433 mg/g. More of the reservoir is still locked as psilocybin.
Lower total (9.591 mg/g) and lower EQ (0.69%). Three times the native psilocin. Closer to a front-loaded feel on paper.
Shakti’s native psilocin sits above either ODPE lot. “It has a lot” is true of the 9.5 lot relative to most cubes — not true relative to Shakti.

Grounding Facts
ODPE is a selective isolation within the Penis Envy lineage of Psilocybe cubensis. The letters expand to Old Dirty Penis Envy. That name is widely used and a little clumsy, which is why this site leads with ODPE. Community accounts attribute the isolate to a grower known as Old Dirty — sometimes “ole dirty Julian” — with a first recorded stabilization around 2019 and a Rocky Mountain foothills association. A competing folk etymology says it began as Outdoor PE from a garden bed. A vendor line credits a mycologist called Joshua. None of that is documented the way a COA is documented. This site does not pick a founder story.
It is not the Homestead / Rich Gee PE story, and it is not Melmac. Those are neighboring PE-family fruits with their own pages in this series.
The morphology is classic PE: thick, even, dense stems; compact caps that often stay closed and can drop a crinkled skirt as the veil tears; small inset gills; low spore drop. Fruits are chunky.
Two Tryptomics HPLCs on fruit biomass define the working range:

Measured beta-carbolines on the Seth report were not detected. The pathogen panel on that report (Salmonella, Listeria, STEC) was not detected.
What the Profile Suggests
Psilocybin is a prodrug. Native psilocin does not need that conversion step and can become available sooner. ODPE is not Shakti. Shakti’s measured native psilocin on its featured lot was 2.13 mg/g. ODPE’s two lots sit at 0.43 and 1.29 mg/g.
That still leaves a real difference between the two ODPE lots. The Full Canopy sample carries about three times the ready-to-act psilocin of the Seth sample, while the Seth sample carries the larger total reservoir. A 2 g dried dose is roughly 16.0 mg Psilocin Equivalent with ~0.9 mg already-psilocin on the Seth lot, versus ~13.8 mg PEQ with ~2.6 mg already-psilocin on the Full Canopy lot. Different shape. Similar ceiling.
Grower notes describe very fast-onset visuals and excellent body euphoria. Vendor copy sometimes tells a slower, heavier PE story. This site privileges the grower’s notes and asks the community to timestamp onset rather than assuming either narrative. Both lots rank AVERAGE on Tryptomics. Some vendor catalogs list ODPE nearer 1.2% total alkaloid. That gap is worth leaving visible.
Limitations & Variables
Two HPLCs, two growers (Seth / Rainbow Capsules and Full Canopy), two dates. Cubensis potency moves with isolation, substrate, flush, dry method, and storage. A name like ODPE also drifts. What one vendor ships under that label may not match these fruits.
Set, setting, stomach contents, and preparation still dominate how any given sit feels. Native psilocin still has to extract from dried tissue. Body euphoria is harder to pin to a single HPLC peak.
Why We’re Collecting Reports
The useful comparison is not “is ODPE strong.” The useful comparison is: at a stated dose and prep, how fast was onset, did visuals hold with eyes open, and how did the body feel next to Melmac, Shakti, or another PE you know. If you know which lot you had — Seth 1/15/26 versus a Full Canopy bag — say so.
